Nestled in the heart of Bend close to Pilot Butte, the Adult and Teen Challenge Central Oregon Men’s Campus provides a Christ-centered approach to treatment for men grappling with substance use issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, this organization has expanded to nearly 250 centers across the United States and over 1,000 worldwide in 95 countries. For those joining the Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge programs, an initial fee of $500 is required at intake, with no further charges for the duration of the program. The Central Oregon Men's Campus offers a one-year program designed for up to 20 men. Individuals traveling by car will find convenient access to Highway 97 and Highway 20, while public transport users can take Bus Line 1, which stops at the intersection of 3rd Street and Dekalb Avenue. The Bible-based curriculum of Adult and Teen Challenge emphasizes three primary objectives: healing from the damage caused by substance use, reconciliation with Jesus Christ and others, and personal transformation grounded in the teachings of Christ. Participants engage in sermons, Bible studies, prayer sessions, spiritual retreats, and vocational training throughout their treatment journey. Life Renewal clinical counseling provides behavioral health support through Christian perspectives, employing strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and relapse prevention. It's important to note that Adult and Teen Challenge does not have medical personnel, so individuals must complete detoxification prior to entry. To maintain a strong focus on recovery, communication is restricted to immediate family, and the use of electronic devices is prohibited. Additionally, smoking is not permitted as part of the commitment to achieving sobriety.
The Rehabilitation Center focuses on addressing issues related to substance use disorders, assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them to empathetic support.
At Adult and Teen Challenge Central Oregon Men’s Campus, we strive to make our Christ-centered treatment program accessible to all men seeking recovery from substance use concerns. Our program features a one-time intake fee of $500, which is due upon admission. There are no additional monthly fees throughout the duration of the one-year program. This fee covers all aspects of our comprehensive approach to healing, including our Bible-based curriculum, vocational training, and counseling services. Please note that we do not accept insurance. As a faith-based organization, our funding primarily comes from donations and contributions from our community. We encourage individuals in need of assistance to explore various funding options, including personal savings, local charities, or community assistance programs. To ensure a supportive and distraction-free environment, we maintain policies that limit contact with individuals outside the program and do not allow electronic devices. Furthermore, since we do not employ medical staff, it is required that all participants complete a detoxification process prior to admission. For any additional inquiries regarding our payment options or assistance factors that might apply, please feel free to contact our admissions team. We are here to support you on your journey towards recovery and spiritual renewal.
