Situated on a sprawling 17-acre site just outside of Shedd, the Adult and Teen Challenge Willamette Valley Men’s Campus provides a faith-based recovery program tailored for men facing substance use issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, this organization has grown to encompass nearly 250 centers across the United States and has over 1,000 facilities worldwide. The Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge programs require an intake fee of $500, with no additional monthly charges throughout the duration of the program. The Willamette Valley Men’s Campus runs a year-long program and accommodates up to 48 men, serving individuals from the Willamette Valley and nearby areas, conveniently located 8 miles south of Albany along Highway 99E. The curriculum at Adult and Teen Challenge is built on a biblical framework, aiming to address three critical aspects of recovery: healing from the impacts of substance use, restoring relationships with Jesus Christ and others, and fostering personal transformation through faith in Jesus. Throughout their time in the program, participants engage in sermons, Bible study sessions, prayer, spiritual retreats, and vocational training offered through the organization's thrift stores. Additionally, Life Renewal provides clinical counseling that integrates strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and relapse prevention, all from a Christian viewpoint. It is important to note that Adult and Teen Challenge does not staff medical professionals; therefore, individuals must complete detoxification before entering the program. To maintain a focus on healing, communication is restricted to immediate family members, and electronic devices are prohibited. Furthermore, to promote a drug-free environment, smoking is not permitted on the premises.
This facility focuses on addressing substance use disorders, assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and connecting them with caring support systems.
At Adult and Teen Challenge Willamette Valley, we understand the importance of making our life-changing treatment programs accessible to those in need. Our fee structure is designed to be straightforward and supportive of our mission. A one-time intake fee of $500 is charged at the beginning of the program, with no additional monthly costs incurred for the remainder of your stay. While we do not directly accept insurance, we encourage individuals to explore their insurance coverage options as some plans may provide partial reimbursement for treatment received. We also offer guidance on payment options to ensure that financial concerns do not hinder your journey toward recovery. It is important to note that our program requires participants to have completed a detoxification process prior to admission, as we do not provide medical staff on-site. We are committed to helping men overcome substance use through our comprehensive, Bible-based curriculum, focusing on spiritual, emotional, and vocational rehabilitation. If you have any questions regarding payment options or the intake process, please do not hesitate to contact us. Your path to recovery is important, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
