Nestled in a lush area of a quaint Tacoma suburb, the Adult and Teen Challenge Graham Women’s Campus provides a faith-based rehabilitation program tailored for women facing issues with substance use. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, the Adult and Teen Challenge network has expanded to nearly 250 centers in the United States and over 1,000 worldwide. In the Pacific Northwest, the program requires a one-time intake fee of $500, with no ongoing monthly expenses while enrolled. The Graham Women’s Campus features a year-long program and accommodates up to 28 women, serving those in the broader Puget Sound region, about 45 miles from Seattle and close to Mount Rainier. The curriculum at Adult and Teen Challenge is rooted in biblical principles and aims to address three primary aspects: healing from the struggles of substance use, restoring relationships with Jesus Christ and peers, and fostering personal transformation based on the teachings of Christ. Participants engage in sermons, Bible study, prayer, spiritual retreats, and job training as part of their journey. Notably, the program does not include medical staff, so it is essential that attendees complete detoxification before joining. To enhance the focus on recovery, communication is restricted to immediate family only, and the use of electronic devices is prohibited. Aiming for comprehensive recovery, smoking on the premises is also forbidden.
The focus of this center is on addressing substance use disorders, assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them to caring support networks.
At the Adult and Teen Challenge Graham Women's Campus, we are committed to providing effective and compassionate care for women facing substance use challenges. As part of our mission to help individuals achieve lasting recovery through our Christ-centered program, we understand the importance of accessibility and support in the financial aspect of treatment. Our program requires a one-time intake fee of $500, which is payable at the time of admission. This fee covers the entire duration of our one-year treatment program, and there are no additional monthly costs incurred throughout your stay. We believe this structure allows our residents to focus more on their recovery journey without the stress of recurring fees. While we do not directly accept insurance, we encourage prospective participants to explore options with their insurance providers regarding reimbursement for the intake fee. Additionally, some individuals may qualify for financial assistance or grants to help support their treatment costs, and we are here to assist you in navigating these possibilities. We invite you to reach out to our admissions team for more detailed information about payment options and to discuss how we can best support you or your loved ones on the path to recovery.
