Situated on a picturesque 10-acre site just an hour's drive from Anchorage, the Adult and Teen Challenge Houston Women’s Campus provides a faith-based rehabilitation program specifically designed for women facing issues related to substance use. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, this organization boasts nearly 250 centers across the United States and over 1,000 facilities in 95 countries worldwide. The Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge programs require an intake fee of $500, with no additional monthly expenses throughout the program duration. The Houston Women’s Campus features a year-long course that can accommodate both mothers and their children. The curriculum at Adult and Teen Challenge is rooted in biblical teachings and emphasizes three primary objectives: healing from the trauma of substance use, fostering reconciliation with Jesus Christ and others, and facilitating personal transformation anchored in faith. Participants engage in sermons, Bible studies, prayer sessions, spiritual retreats, and vocational training during the course. The program does not include medical personnel, so individuals must complete detoxification before joining. To promote a conducive recovery environment, contact with anyone other than immediate family members is restricted, and the use of electronic devices is prohibited. Smoking is also not permitted, as the center aims to support comprehensive recovery from all forms of substance use.
The focus of this center is on addressing substance use disorders, assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them with empathetic support networks.
At the Adult and Teen Challenge Houston Women’s Campus, we prioritize making our transformative treatment program accessible to women seeking recovery from substance use concerns. Our program operates on a straightforward fee structure to facilitate enrollment and ensure that participants can focus on their healing journey without financial stress. The initial intake fee is set at $500, which is due at the time of admission. Importantly, there are no additional monthly costs associated with the program for the remainder of the year-long treatment. This model allows participants to engage fully in our comprehensive Christ-centered curriculum without ongoing financial burdens. While we do not accept insurance as a form of payment, we aim to provide affordable recovery solutions that emphasize lasting transformation and spiritual reconciliation. We encourage potential participants and their families to explore various fundraising options or community support to help cover the intake fee if needed. For more information regarding our payment options or to discuss possible financial assistance, please contact our admissions team. We are committed to guiding you towards a path of recovery and renewal in a supportive and faith-based environment.
