Adult & Teen Challenge was established by David Wilkerson, who recognized that many gang members in New York struggled with substance addiction as a root cause of their problems. Today, Adult & Teen Challenge operates over 215 residential facilities across the United States and Canada, including ATC Kansas. This program prioritizes a Christ-centered approach and utilizes a curriculum grounded in biblical teachings. Participants engage in various activities such as attending sermons, joining Bible study groups, praying, going on spiritual retreats, and taking part in work therapy. The program is structured in five phases, with an average duration of 13 months or more for participants.
At this facility, the main focus is on addressing substance use disorders. Our approach includes assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and fostering connections with empathetic support.
At Adult & Teen Challenge Kansas, we understand that seeking help for addiction is a significant step, and we want to make the process as smooth as possible, particularly regarding financial considerations. We are committed to providing accessible support to individuals seeking recovery, and we offer various payment options to accommodate different needs. While we do not accept insurance directly, we encourage potential clients to check with their insurance providers regarding coverage for our program. Many plans may offer partial or full reimbursement for treatment services related to addiction recovery, and we can assist in providing the necessary information to facilitate this process. For those without insurance or who may face financial barriers, we offer flexible payment plans and consider scholarships to support individuals in need. Our goal is to ensure that financial concerns do not hinder anyone from receiving the transformative care that our Christ-focused program offers. We invite you to reach out to our admissions team to discuss your specific situation and explore the available options. Together, we can help you embark on the path to recovery and a renewed life.
