Affect2U – Addiction Treatment & Recovery

Affect2U operates from its welcoming facilities in Hoboken and Vosselaar, providing both residential and outpatient services for those struggling with addiction, eating disorders, and mental health issues. The intentionally limited capacity of the programs ensures personalized attention and a safe environment from the onset. With a streamlined intake process and a focus on fostering self-leadership, Affect2U empowers clients to address substance dependency, behavioral addictions, and deep-seated trauma, facilitating lasting recovery. Services are offered in both English and Dutch. The 28-day residential program at Affect2U is designed to help individuals stabilize and initiate their recovery journey from addiction or other disruptive behaviors. Clients may undergo detoxification if necessary while delving into root issues and enhancing their skills in communication, preventing relapses, and managing emotions. Treatment approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed techniques, provided through small group settings, weekly individual sessions, and family engagement, equipping clients with essential tools and a supportive network that aids their progress in daily life. Affect2U features two treatment locations, thoughtfully designed to exude a warm and inviting ambiance, akin to a home. The Hoboken facility can cater to up to 14 clients, while the trauma-focused center in Vosselaar has the capacity for 15 individuals. In addition to therapeutic interventions, clients cultivate healthy lifestyles through various activities, including sports, yoga, art therapy, reflective walks, and weekend outings. They also unwind with streaming content and enjoy nourishing meals prepared by chefs to promote improved moods, enhanced focus, and reliable daily routines. Affect2U supports each client’s journey from intensive care to independent living. The aftercare program is tailored to individual needs with input from the clinical team, potentially incorporating individual, family, or group sessions. Outpatient aftercare emphasizes the application of skills learned during treatment, ongoing emotional processing, and reinforcement of the recovery journey. This program is continuously assessed and modified as necessary to promote sustained recovery over time.
