Bear River Health (BRH) offers specialized treatment for substance use disorders through gender-specific residential programs located in northwest Lower Michigan. The Boyle Falls campus features a dedicated four-week residential program designed for men facing challenges with alcohol or drug addiction, including opioids. BRH also extends its services to both men and women through outpatient and outreach programs, which include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) aimed at fostering sustained recovery. Within the residential treatment framework, BRH implements the evidence-based Living in Balance program, which consists of daily group discussions and classes focused on preventing relapse. Clients engage in individual therapy sessions, address trauma and life skills, and create tailored recovery strategies. Their comprehensive approach promotes healing across mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, integrating clinical support, peer encouragement, and wellness-oriented activities.
The primary focus of this center is on treating substance use disorders, assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them to empathetic support networks.
In your first discussion with our admissions staff, we will inquire about your financial situation and assist you in assessing your funding alternatives. This process will also involve sharing your insurance details to evaluate the support, if any, that your insurance provider may offer for your treatment.
