Oceans Behavioral Hospital has partnered with the Norman Regional Health System to offer a residential treatment program within a 48-bed facility situated in south central Oklahoma. Known as the Behavioral Health Center, this facility focuses on helping adults facing challenges such as anger, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, self-harm, stress, trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, as well as co-occurring conditions. The center employs various therapeutic approaches, including individual counseling, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group sessions, medication monitoring, relapse prevention strategies, relaxation therapy, and 12-Step facilitation. Special attention is given to clients aged 55 and older dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia, and related issues. This facility benefits from the combined expertise of Oceans and Norman Regional, and is located near additional Norman Regional centers that address trauma and other health matters. The psychiatric team conducts daily assessments of client progress and medication plans. Clients also have access to a patient portal for tracking their treatment journey both during and after their stay.
