Located north of the Tennessee River, CADAS (Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services) provides support for both adults and teenagers aged 13-17 through various services, including medical detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and transitional living arrangements. Their approach incorporates evidence-based therapies, both individual and group, to assist clients in regaining stability. To facilitate the transition to life post-treatment, CADAS offers transportation to appointments and connects clients with peer support systems. A significant aspect of their services is the medication they provide to mitigate cravings, specifically for opioids and alcohol, utilizing options like Buprenorphine, Suboxone, or Vivitrol. The schedules for CADAS's programs are designed to accommodate the needs of clients and may vary in duration. Residential treatment might be as brief as 28 days, while IOP, medication-assisted treatments, and aftercare can extend for up to a year. The IOP sessions are held either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon or Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aftercare meetings occur on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. or Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m., with medication treatment sessions available at various times throughout the week. CADAS also offers a bi-monthly, 12-hour class on Saturdays, including a Spanish-language version. This program is open to clients of all ages and includes a specialized segment aimed at educating teens about the dangers of drunk driving. The cost for attendance is $125 for residents of Tennessee and $200 for those from out of state. Furthermore, CADAS provides three transitional living options to assist clients in their recovery journeys. The Oasis Halfway House, located on their main campus, offers group activities and therapeutic support for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Their Family Way program supports women with young children, offering guidance for up to two years to enhance their family and professional lives. Additionally, their collaboration with the Chattanooga Housing Authority enables them to provide low-income housing options during the early phases of recovery.
