Footprints to Recovery New Jersey supports individuals as they embark on their journey to sobriety, empowering them to take initial steps and eventually stride forward independently. The center offers evidence-based outpatient services that are customized to fit each client's unique needs, aspirations, and situations. Footprints emphasizes a holistic philosophy, catering to the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of clients, and approaches recovery with understanding, dignity, and compassion. The clinical offerings at Footprints include standard treatments such as individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing various proven methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). This helps clients confront core challenges and cultivate effective coping strategies. Additionally, they provide alternative therapies including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), massage therapy, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic care, psychodrama, and fitness activities to enhance overall health. Footprints to Recovery features three levels of outpatient services, enabling clients to pursue their recovery while residing at home or in sober living environments, all while managing their daily activities. The day treatment, also known as partial hospitalization (PHP), involves clients participating in treatment for 4-6 hours daily, five days a week, which includes individual counseling, group sessions, experiential learning, and education on addiction. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers 9-15 hours of treatment weekly, with both individual and group therapy options. Meanwhile, their outpatient program (OP) provides 3 hours of treatment once or twice a week. Following the completion of the outpatient program, Footprints continues to support clients through follow-up care and resources. Each client receives a personalized aftercare plan designed to assist in maintaining sobriety as they reintegrate into everyday life. The alumni program further strengthens this support network by offering weekly meetings, monthly sober activities, regular check-ins with alumni coordinators, community service initiatives, and access to a dedicated Facebook group.
