Founded in 2021 as a part of Flint Odyssey House, Grandma’s House remains dedicated to aiding families in need. With a primary focus on outpatient services, including an intensive outpatient program (IOP), the center caters to expecting and parenting adults along with their children and teens as they navigate the path to recovery from substance use. It combines professional expertise with family-oriented support to foster meaningful, long-term transformation. The center provides a range of services, including individual, group, and family therapy, alongside recovery coaching and parenting workshops. Additionally, it offers prevention programs designed to strengthen familial bonds and enhance long-term recovery outcomes. With a team comprising three clinicians, a recovery coach, and a program coordinator, clients are equipped with the necessary support and tools to regain stability and foster hope. Embodying warmth and approachability, Grandma’s House includes a cozy area for child care and a unique indoor-outdoor library nook. Furnished with thrifted items that evoke the warmth of a grandparent's home, the center also features a kitchen equipped for teaching family life skills. Outside, a community garden encourages families to engage in planting and growing, fostering a sense of connection, responsibility, and belonging.
The Rehabilitation Center focuses on addressing issues related to substance use disorders. It provides support to help individuals achieve stability, develop strategies to prevent relapse, and connect with empathetic care.
At Grandma's House Family Involvement Center, we are dedicated to making our comprehensive outpatient services accessible to all families seeking support in their recovery journey. We understand that navigating insurance policies can be complex, and our team is here to assist you in understanding your options. We work with a variety of insurance providers, allowing us to accommodate different insurance plans to cover many of our services, which include individual, group, and family counseling, intensive outpatient programs, and various support classes. We recommend that clients check with their insurance providers to confirm coverage details, including deductible and co-payment requirements. For those who may not have insurance or whose plans do not cover our services, we offer a sliding scale fee structure. This approach ensures that financial considerations do not serve as a barrier to receiving the critical support you need. Our goal is to provide high-quality, family-centered care that fosters lasting change and helps restore stability and hope in your lives. If you have any questions regarding our payment options or need assistance with insurance claims, please feel free to reach out to our program coordinator, who is available to provide guidance and support throughout this process. At Grandma's House, we are committed to supporting you every step of the way.
