Hope is Alive (HIA) Ministries adopts a Christ-centered approach to treating substance use disorders. It all started when founder Lance Lang overcame his own addiction, with support from his wife and co-founder Ally. HIA views addiction as a disease and emphasizes the significance of prayer and community in the recovery journey. They believe recovery is attainable for families, the need to adopt positive behaviors over negative ones, the importance of emotional processing in healing, and above all, that hope exists. In Oklahoma, they provide distinct residences in Oklahoma City and Tulsa for women and men, respectively, while Claremore and Weatherford cater exclusively to men. The sober living program at HIA is designed to heal the emotional traumas that contribute to substance use, aiming for "transformative life changes." Their gender-segregated residences typically feature shared bedrooms complemented with new linens, dressers, nightstands, lamps, and communal kitchen areas. Residents are advised to bring along a Bible, non-alcoholic beverages, food, clothing, bathroom supplies, towels, and laundry essentials, along with a month’s worth of clothes. In addition to housing, HIA ensures an engaging daily schedule. Residents are encouraged to join local 12-Step programs, secure full-time jobs in the vicinity, and can take part in various adventure outings, including ski trips and retreats. They participate in monthly mentoring sessions, attend a local church, a Sunday evening house meeting, a Monday night Bible study, and a Wednesday group session, all held at 6:30 p.m. local time. The programming is tailored to the individual needs of residents, with assistance offered for legal matters when needed. Additionally, residents contribute to the community through monthly service activities. The program duration ranges from 12 to 18 months, with most participants opting for the complete 18-month stay. The cost of the program is $750 for the first month, followed by $650 for each subsequent month, and HIA conducts random drug tests to ensure sobriety. Operating from Oklahoma City, Hope is Alive extends its reach nationwide through various sober living and family therapy initiatives, as well as retreats, partnerships with churches, corporations, and schools, and their YouVersion Bible reading plan. They showcase endorsements from Craig Groeschel on YouTube and have collaborated with notable figures such as Tim Tebow, Brandon Lake, and Ben Fuller on their retreats. Information about ongoing and special programs is shared through their RADICAL magazine and blog entries. Furthermore, Hope is Alive provides complimentary family support through the Finding Hope initiative, which focuses on fostering a nurturing, supportive, and prayer-filled community. They arrange meetings twice a month lasting 60 to 90 minutes. Their Hope After Loss counseling program serves individuals grieving the loss of loved ones due to addiction.
This facility focuses on addressing issues related to substance use disorders. It aims to assist individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them with empathetic support systems.
At Hope is Alive Recovery Homes - Oklahoma, we understand the financial concerns that can arise during the recovery process. While we do not accept insurance as a form of payment, we strive to make our programs accessible and transparent for all participants. Our program fees are structured at $750 for the first month and $650 for each subsequent month, which covers the comprehensive services we provide, including housing, structured schedules, and support programs tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents. We encourage potential residents and their families to explore various funding options, including personal savings, health savings accounts, or community resources that may assist in covering expenses. Additionally, we are committed to maintaining affordability and may offer financial support or sliding scale options depending on individual circumstances. Our primary goal is to support those seeking healing from addiction through our Christ-centered approach, and we invite anyone interested to contact us for further information on payment options and assistance.
