Situated in Tigard, Oregon, Madrona Recovery provides comprehensive residential treatment for adolescents aged 13 to 17 dealing with substance abuse and concurrent mental health issues. The treatment program lasts between 30 and 45 days and comprises 23 beds in a contemporary, comfortable facility that includes outdoor areas for relaxation. Initially, each client has a private room; however, they may later share with a roommate as they progress through the program. Participants benefit from medication management, weekly evidence-based counseling sessions for both mental health and substance use, and engage in daily group activities. These group sessions emphasize life skills, recreation, recovery techniques, community engagement, art therapy, and play therapy. While Madrona Recovery is equipped to help with certain detox symptoms, it is not set up for medically supervised detox.
