Established in 1975, MARR Addiction Treatment Centers is a private facility dedicated to providing long-term residential addiction recovery services for both men and women. Their mission is to facilitate enduring recovery through intensive, specialized programs designed according to gender. MARR operates two residential locations in Georgia: a women’s center in Lawrenceville and a men’s center in Atlanta. The center supports individuals grappling with the consequences of substance use disorders, utilizing both individual and group therapy modalities. Individual therapeutic approaches include clinical assessments, addiction education, and strategies for preventing relapse, while group sessions may feature cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family dynamics discussions, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), yoga practices, and spiritual support. Emphasizing a sense of community during the recovery process, MARR engages clients in various residential activities and support groups, focusing on themes such as work/life balance and relationship boundary setting. Moreover, MARR offers a specialized program for disordered eating, where clients consult with a registered dietitian, participate in meal groups, receive education on mindful eating, and attend 12-Step meetings specifically targeting eating disorder recovery. The treatment process at MARR is structured into distinct phases for both genders: the first phase lasts 6 weeks, the second spans 8 weeks, and the third phase extends for 12 weeks or more. The center features amenities like volleyball and basketball courts and organizes local outings for shopping and hiking. Accommodations are shared and tailored to gender-specific needs. MARR has implemented a COVID-19 protocol that includes antibody testing for all incoming clients prior to admission.
At this center, the focus is on addressing issues related to substance use disorders. They assist individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and establishing connections with supportive and understanding resources.
We collaborate with insurance companies on an out-of-network arrangement to assist in covering the expenses of outpatient addiction rehabilitation.
