Megan’s House operates under the umbrella of The Megan House Foundation, Inc. and is situated 30 miles from Boston. This residential facility features three levels and can accommodate up to 28 young women simultaneously. Typically, residents stay at Megan’s House for around six months, although extensions can be arranged if necessary. The rehabilitation program at Megan’s House includes individual, group, and family therapy, all delivered by skilled, licensed mental health professionals and addiction specialists. Each resident benefits from personalized success coaching aimed at advancing their education and job readiness. When possible, therapeutic activities such as art and equine therapy are included in the program, alongside options for physical fitness like boxing and yoga. Residents of Megan’s House are instructed in essential life skills, including time management, cooking, household maintenance, and effective communication. They are responsible for preparing their own breakfasts and lunches, while dinner is provided for them. Additionally, women can engage in caring for an onsite vegetable garden, with the harvested produce featured in their meals. Daily responsibilities are shared among the residents to promote a sense of community and accountability.
The Rehabilitation Center specializes in the treatment of substance use issues alongside simultaneous mental health disorders. Each individual receives a tailored treatment approach that ensures both conditions are managed concurrently, fostering a holistic recovery through empathetic and dedicated support.
At Megan's House, we strive to make our comprehensive treatment programs accessible to all young women seeking support.
