Established in 2011, Thalia House serves as a transitional living center for women who are in the initial stages of recovery from eating disorders and related mental health challenges. The facility offers 24/7 support, life skills development, prevention of relapse, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) catering to both teens and adults. The focus at Thalia House encompasses emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and social well-being. Their methodology integrates a holistic perspective with evidence-based treatment practices. Clients are encouraged to pursue self-acceptance, personal empowerment, and a sense of freedom. Typically, residents stay for a minimum of 30 days, with many extending their stay up to three months. During their time at the center, clients are prompted to set achievable short- and long-term objectives and engage in part-time work, educational pursuits, or volunteer activities. Thalia House provides a range of services including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), couples counseling, individual and group sessions, and family therapy. Additional offerings include pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, sex therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), nutrition counseling, relational therapy, and guidance on parenting and family dynamics, as well as specialized intensive outpatient programs for eating disorders and support groups. The facility itself is a picturesque country home that accommodates up to seven clients, featuring three shared bedrooms and bathrooms. Common areas include a cozy living room and a patio with a jacuzzi. A house mother is available at all times to provide care and supervision. This gender-specific environment is designed exclusively for women, while the evening IOP sessions at Resonate welcome both male and female adolescents and adults.
This center specializes in addressing mental health issues alongside concurrent substance use disorders. Patients benefit from personalized, team-based care that focuses on comprehensive healing for the entire individual.
At Thalia House, we strive to ensure that our comprehensive programs for women in recovery are accessible to those in need. We accept a variety of insurance providers and are committed to assisting our clients in understanding their insurance coverage for our services. Our team works diligently to verify insurance benefits and determine the availability of coverage for both residential and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). In addition to insurance acceptance, we also offer flexible payment options for clients who may not have insurance or are underinsured. We understand that the financial aspect of seeking treatment can be overwhelming, and we aim to alleviate that burden by providing information on payment plans and financial assistance resources whenever possible. We encourage prospective clients to contact our admissions team to discuss specific insurance providers, coverage details, and payment options. Our goal is to facilitate the path to recovery by making our programs accessible for all women seeking support for eating disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. At Thalia House, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity for healing and growth in a nurturing environment.
