Situated in eastern Virginia, amidst Richmond and D.C., Warriors Heart is a dedicated rehabilitation center that focuses on drug and alcohol recovery specifically for veterans, active military personnel, and first responders. Understanding the unique challenges and traumas that these courageous individuals confront, the facility serves as a refuge for recovery and healing, tailored to their specific needs. Warriors Heart Virginia offers an extensive range of recovery resources, including detox services, residential programs, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and sober living arrangements. Their skilled team provides individualized care, targeting both the physical and psychological dimensions of addiction. The center's therapeutic programs play a crucial role in the healing journey. Warriors Heart features an art program that encourages participants to communicate their feelings and experiences through various artistic forms, promoting self-discovery and emotional recuperation. Additionally, yoga and jiu-jitsu sessions are available to improve physical health and mental resilience, fostering strength and endurance in clients. The SOC-F gym is also available for fitness activities that aid in the overall recovery process. Another notable initiative is the SHOP (Service-Honor-Opportunity-Purpose) program, which helps clients develop skills in woodworking and metalworking, combining creativity with vocational education. The K9 training program supports clients in training service animals, enhancing companionship and emotional support during their recovery. Warriors Heart aspires to "Bring 1 Million Warriors Home" to an atmosphere that is welcoming and far removed from a clinical environment. With 90% of the personnel being a part of the warrior community, either as warriors themselves or having loved ones who are, the center is crafted to resemble a “home,” featuring suite-like accommodations, a private chef offering nutritious meals, various healing modalities, and a spacious ranch setting. The center emphasizes the importance of community, enabling veterans and first responders to share their narratives and find comfort in their common experiences. This environment fosters healing and empathy, which are vital for overcoming the specific obstacles faced by their clients. Warriors Anonymous is a specialized support group endorsed by AA World Services. It is a global fellowship for individuals who have struggled with alcohol or drug issues. This non-professional, self-sustaining, multiracial, and apolitical group is widely accessible and there are no age or educational prerequisites for membership. It is open to Warriors (active military personnel, veterans, or first responders) desiring to address their substance use challenges. While some experts use terms like “substance abuse” or “chemical dependency” to describe addiction, Warriors Anonymous focuses strictly on the experiences of its members. Non-alcoholics may attend open meetings as observers but only those facing drinking or drug-related problems are permitted in closed sessions.
At this facility, we focus on helping individuals overcome substance use disorders along with any associated mental health issues. Our tailored treatment plans provide holistic support, ensuring that each condition is treated simultaneously with empathy and individualized attention for complete recovery.
To enhance accessibility to our services, we accommodate a range of insurance options. For detailed information regarding insurance coverage, we invite you to explore our website at www.warriorsheart.com/virginia.
