Surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, this center provides a peaceful retreat where women can contemplate, process their journeys, and pursue sobriety with the guidance of empathetic clinicians. The Jupiter facility promotes a calm and restorative atmosphere specifically aimed at supporting women’s recovery, enhanced by the scenic allure of the mountains and the picturesque Wasatch Range. Wasatch Crest’s tranquil mountain environment is ideal for its adventure-oriented recovery initiatives, designed to cultivate a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm through experiences like rock climbing, fly fishing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and equine therapy, all specifically aimed at women. The program includes weekend outings such as hiking in the Wasatch Mountains and stand-up paddle boarding, creating numerous opportunities for both physical and emotional revitalization within a female-centered framework. Initially constructed for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the primary residence now functions as a specialized treatment center with 20 beds devoted to gender-specific care. Additionally, a nearby transitional living facility provides 8 more beds, located close to the center for partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, emphasizing dedicated support for women. The knowledgeable and caring staff at Wasatch Crest, which includes therapists with advanced degrees, create individualized detox and recovery plans for each client. The program integrates cognitive behavioral therapy with mindfulness practices, offering individual counseling alongside experiential therapies, such as art and music therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and Native American spirituality groups—all specifically aimed at meeting the distinct needs of women in recovery.
