Lydia's House is a detox and residential facility exclusively for women, located at the base of Black Mountain, specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders. The center utilizes a holistic approach, featuring CARF-accredited clinical services and medical care overseen by an addiction specialist. It emphasizes a Christian-centered methodology that incorporates 12-Step support and chaplaincy services, along with vocational training programs. The first phase of their four-phase treatment plan centers on detoxifying the body and developing a customized care strategy. Upon arrival, medical staff conduct thorough physical and mental evaluations to personalize the treatment process. Their medically supervised detoxification ensures a secure environment for withdrawal from substances, with medication-assisted therapy available if necessary. The residential aspect of Lydia's House is rooted in a holistic Christian perspective, aimed at addressing the comprehensive needs of each individual—mind, body, and spirit. Around-the-clock support from addiction specialists is provided. Clients participate in evidence-based individual and group counseling sessions to identify triggers and learn effective coping mechanisms. Additionally, meetings for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Celebrate Recovery are available. Clients may also progress to intensive outpatient care with sober living arrangements for further treatment and flexibility. The second and third phases emphasize peer support and practical strategies for reintegrating into work and educational environments. Lydia's House offers spiritual life options, ongoing individual and group counseling, and continuous 12-Step meeting access. Development of life skills includes targeted employment preparation and educational initiatives. In the final phase, clients take part in an internship program to enhance their practical skills. After completing the program, individuals earn a Health and Human Services certificate from Sullivan University, which can be applied toward Sullivan's 2-year associate or 4-year bachelor’s degree programs.
