Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124

Located within sight of the Sandia Mountains and a short drive of 90 minutes from Santa Fe, New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center Rio Rancho offers comprehensive, trauma-informed rehabilitation services for adults facing substance use challenges. The residential setting, which previously housed a Days Inn next to UPS, includes a therapeutic garden and picturesque views of the surrounding desert. Clients have the opportunity to engage in nature adventures as part of group outings. Each resident is provided with a private room for their comfort. The range of therapies offered at New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center consists of one-on-one counseling, group sessions, art and music therapies, medication-assisted treatment, nutritional guidance, and yoga practices. Commonly addressed addictions include alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opioids, heroin, fentanyl, painkillers, and methamphetamine. The approach to treatment is rooted in strength-based and spiritual methodologies, adaptable to diverse belief systems. The center supports both 12-Step and alternative recovery meetings, with the capability to prescribe methadone and Suboxone when deemed beneficial. Clients typically engage in a 30-day treatment program, during which essential life skills are imparted to ensure successful reintegration after their stay. During the detox phase, constant monitoring is available. The center is open to returning clients and is committed to assisting with arrangements for food and shelter. New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center does allow early discharges, though they advise against it. If clients choose to leave before completing their program, they will ensure safety, provide necessary discharge information, and encourage continued contact for future support. While the center maintains strong community connections and accepts New Mexico Medicaid, it is accessible to individuals from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on serving veterans and Native American populations. Native shamans are available for visitation to conduct spiritual rites and aid in the healing process. In addition to its Rio Rancho location, New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center also operates a facility in Taos, two hours to the south. During the intake process, clients can indicate a preference for either site or opt for whichever has the earliest availability. Treatment methodologies and associated costs are consistent across both locations.
The focus of this center is on addressing issues related to substance use disorders by assisting individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking them with empathetic support services.
We are able to accommodate a variety of commercial insurance plans, along with most Medicaid agreements, and we also offer self-payment alternatives.
