Located in the thoughtfully designed city of New Haven, Yale New Haven Health offers tailored, evidence-based treatment options for children aged 5 and above, teenagers, and adults facing mental health challenges, along with concurrent substance use disorders. In partnership with the Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry, the center's team engages in research focused on mental health advancements and oversees various clinical studies. Referrals for mental health services at Yale New Haven Health may originate from primary care providers within Yale or from other healthcare establishments. The center facilitates both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. The Yale New Haven Health York Street Campus includes options for residential care and intensive outpatient programming (IOP). The center organizes targeted group therapy sessions that focus on shared experiences and encourages the practice of meditation and mindfulness. For those grappling with substance use concerns, they also utilize a 12-Step Facilitation approach. Beyond traditional talk therapy, Yale offers several biomedical and medical interventions such as ketamine and esketamine injections, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Yale New Haven Health specializes in care for children starting at age 5, adolescents, and older adults over 65, tailoring their therapeutic approaches to suit different developmental stages. Clients are supported through the MyChart platform powered by Epic Systems, enabling them to access care notes and maintain communication with Yale New Haven Health throughout and following their treatment.
The rehabilitation center specializes in addressing mental health disorders alongside substance use challenges. Here, you will experience a tailored and cooperative approach to treatment that focuses on both aspects, fostering comprehensive healing for the individual.
